Situated on an elevated site some 4 miles outside Fort William, our home enjoys uninterrupted views over the Caledonian Canal and Great Glen to Ben Nevis and Nevis Range Ski centre.

We are happy to share our knowledge of the area, give advice on places to visit, things to do, where to eat and what wildlife to look out for. Our aim is to create a 'home from home' atmosphere based on what we would like to experience on holiday.

We offer a choice of 3 large en-suite rooms:

• 1 twin bedroom (2 single beds)
• 1 double bedroom (kingsize double bed)
• 1 bedroom which sleeps three (1 double bed & 1 single bed)

Sightseeing & Activities
Whether you just wish to relax and recharge the batteries or experience the most of what the Outdoor Capital of the UK has to offer, Quaich Cottage is an ideal base for visiting Fort William and Lochaber.

We have the UK's highest mountain on our doorstep and there's a huge range of outdoor activities available throughout the year from mountain biking and canoeing to birdwatching and photography.

From the house you can see the Caledonian Canal and can access the towpath to enjoy a gentle level walk to Neptunes Staircase (a flight of seven locks). Ben Banavie to the rear of the house is for the more energetic walkers and the views from the top are unrivalled.

During the summer months, the Jacobite steam train runs from Fort William to Mallaig across the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct as featured in the Harry Potter movies.

Other popular TV and film locations in the area include Braveheart, Rob Roy, Monarch of the Glen and Rockface (Ian and Val have been extras in both the TV series).

We are approximately 4 miles from the Nevis Range ski slopes which are clearly visible from the house.

Directions
Heading north out of Fort William, take the left turn onto the A830 (signposted Mallaig and the Road to the Isles). Continue along the A830 until you cross the canal bridge, then turn right onto the B8004. After about 2 miles you will see Quaich Cottage on the left.
